Selah Thompson, a native of Kansas City, MO, started dancing at the age of 5.  The energy, excitement and the things the dancers were able to accomplish with their bodies attracted him to this form of art and encouraged him to be a dance instructor and choreographer.  He has trained with Terri Brown in the styles of West African Dance, Dunham Technique, Jazz, Lindy Hop, Liturgical, Traditional, Sambal, Donny Hinds-Carribean, Dancehall, Afrobeatz, Dierre Jackson & Hip Hop.  He has performed with The Traditional Music Society, Art in Motion, Golden Onyx and Victory in Motion.  Of these styles, Hip Hop and West African are his favorite.  This is his first year participating in The XII, but what he appreciates most, is being around so many talented people, all with loving and welcoming spirits.
