Hello! My name is Lee Allen Spight, Jr. I am the current Senior Pastor at Madden Temple Church of God In Christ in Kansas City, Kansas and Founding Pastor of the Greater Faith and Deliverance Church of God In Christ in Binghamton, New York. Prior to moving to the Kansas City area, I pioneered in the Niagara region birthing out a ministry of healing to the economically-deprived, the downtrodden, and the forgotten. I was raised in Buffalo, New York and graduated from Buffalo Academy for the Visual and Performing Arts with a major in the Fine Arts. I am a song writer, producer and currently partnered with The Cover Me Foundation of which my daughter Alexis Spight is the founder and CEO.

I was fortunate enough to matriculate through various levels of the educatory process from an Associate’s degree at Houghton college to an M Div. at Central Baptist Theological Seminary. God has been faithful. The Lord favored me to begin my first Pastorate as Director of Religious Services of a secular agency; Hopevale Inc., a Residential treatment Facility for at risk youth, where I served for over three years. I continue to work in the secular arena as a Director of Spiritual Care for a National Hospice Company where I have served locally for 7years.

I served for over 5 years as the minister of music, youth pastor, and District YPWW (Young Peoples Willing Workers) President prior to my acceptance to the pastorate. I was appointed President of the Western New York Second Jurisdictional Youth Department. I served in this position under the leadership of Bishop G.H. Young for 7 years. Some of the highlights during my tenure were an annual Harvest Fest, Jurisdictional PEP Rally, annual Good Friday Fellowship Skate, seminars entitled; “The Barber and Beauty Shop”, “The Annual Youth Summit” which is held during the Jurisdictional Convocation, mentoring and training of youth pastors within the Jurisdiction and lastly, I was afforded this opportunity by the Regional Director of Youth in the New York area of The Church of God in Christ and now Executive Administrative Assistant Pastor Tyrone Butler to serve as co-host for the late night Gathering Place for two International COGIC (Church of God in Christ) AIM (Auxiliaries in Ministry) Conventions. I have been blessed to continue in this same facet of ministry since arriving in the Kansas City area.

God has favored me with a ministry that meets the needs of the total man, while providing a ministry and testimony of deliverance from drugs, addictions, gang banging, impoverish living, promiscuity, and various others chains that bind, through the life transforming power of the Holy Spirit.

I have six outstanding children, consisting of five daughters; Alexis, Jazmin, Alyssa, Jada and Anashe; and one son Lee Allen III. I believe with God all things are possible. I am proud to say that they are all professing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
