Erin Jones

Martha, Sister of Mary

Erin R. Jones was born and raised in Kansas City, KS.  She is the mother of 3 children and has a very extensive musical background.  Erin’s father, the late Rev. Gerald Smith began teaching her to sing at the age of 3.  Her mother, Hattie Smith, and father served as ministers of music at Faith Deliverance COGIC.  She grew up in the choir and her home was always filled with music.  Erin began writing poetry at the age of 9 and began playing piano by ear and putting her lyrics to original music at the age of 12.  She began legally copywriting her music with the help of her father and found creative ways to make her own instrumentals to perform her own music.  She wrote songs for many church plays and did a complete score for her brother, Dr. Ryan Smith’s production called Choir Boy.  She wrote and produced all the music for that production.

She was a youth leader and choir director for over 20 years at Faith Deliverance.  She directed the Youth Choir but often assisted with the adult choir. She sang and recorded with the Kansas East State Sunshine Band at a very young age.  She also sang with the Kansas East State Youth Choir and Mass Choir.  In 2007 Erin along with her group eChe’ (E-Shay) & Praise debuted and performed 10 songs, all of which were written and arranged by her.  This group sang all over Kansas City and did nothing but original music.  She, along with her MD, Jason Betts, a 5 member band, and 12 singers formed the group and were known for providing a contemporary flavor and uplifting vibe to every setting.

Erin was a part of many other singing groups in the Kansas City area, Creation, Glory To Glory, S.A.L.T, and Michael Portley & Students of David.  She also managed a group called Unlimited Praise.  Erin is a member of The Phil Collins Experience, a touring tribute band who pays tribute to Phil Collins and Genesis.  She plays piano, violin, and guitar and has performed as a single artist in many different settings.  She has been a minister of music at several churches and enjoys serving on the praise team at her church home, Evangelistic Center with Bishop Cortez Vaughn.

In addition to her love for music, she is also an actress who has been in many productions under Dobbs Madden Productions, and Don J Haliburton Productions.  She has had starring roles in Searchin, Searchin II, For The Love of Money, Christmas With The Jones, and more.  In 2008, Erin started her own entertainment company, ERJ Entertainment, LLC.  Under this company she wrote and co-produced two singles of which are available on all digital outlets, Always and Sideline by Erin R Jones.  She also has a dba called Sweet E’s Teaz specializing in uniquely blended sweet teas.  Erin works in school administration by day and builds her brand and businesses by night.
