Ryan N. Strickland, Sr.

Simon & The Blind Man

Ryan N. Strickland, Sr., was born in Coffeyville, Kansas, and later relocated to Grandview, Missouri when he was eight years old.  He graduated from Grandview Senior High School in 1998, and later attended Longview Community College.

 
Ryan’s love for music started at age 3. At age 16, he became one of the organists at Trinity Temple COGIC, under the late Bishop W.B. Henderson, and served until his passing in January 2009. Under Bishop Henderson, he also served as the Minister of Music for the Golden Gate District in the Missouri Western 2nd Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.
 
In 2010, he began serving as the Minister of Music at Calvary Chapel COGIC, under the leadership of Pastor Harold Molden, Sr. until he retired.  He also served under Bishop Frank Douglas, as a Vice President of the Missouri Western 1st Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction Music Department. 
 
Ryan, along with his wife Jamie and their children, are members of Mt. Carmel COGIC under the leadership of Supt. E. Jason Sims.
