Johnny Dinh Phan, born and raised in the heart of Kansas City, Missouri, discovered his passion for dance during his senior year of high school. His journey into the world of dance began with his first class, where he found a profound outlet for self-expression through movement. Captivated by the infectious energy of dance, Johnny delved deeper into the art form, igniting a lifelong love affair with its ability to bring joy and communicate emotions beyond words.
Drawing from a diverse range of training experiences, Johnny honed his skills at prestigious institutions such as the Miller Marley School of Dance, Point B Dance, and the University of Kansas Dance program. Throughout his artistic journey, he has graced the stage with numerous renowned dance companies including City of Motion Dance Theater, KC Contemporary, and Storling Dance Theater, showcasing his versatility and passion as a performer.
With a penchant for Hip Hop and Musical Theater, Johnny’s performances exude an electrifying blend of urban flair and theatrical finesse. His dedication to his craft led him to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance alongside a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Kansas, demonstrating his commitment to both artistic and academic excellence.
Outside of the dance realm, Johnny applies his scientific expertise as a Lab Technician at Medical Diagnostics. Yet, his heart remains firmly entrenched in the world of dance, where he flourishes as a professional dancer, teacher, and choreographer.
In a testament to his talent and versatility, Johnny embarks on a new chapter as a participant in The XII Musical, where he brings his unique artistry to the stage. Immersed in this production, he finds inspiration in the camaraderie of fellow artists, cherishing the opportunity to connect with and learn from their diverse talents and perspectives.
